GLENDA MAE PERKINS
Aline, OK. -- Funeral service for Glenda Mae Perkins, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, age 81, will be Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Aline with Rev. Casey McKenna officiating. Burial will follow at Aline Star Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena, OK.
Online condolences may be sent to the family at http://www.lanmanfuneralhomes.com/ The casket will be open at the church before the service today. Memorials may be given to the Aline Christian Church through the funeral home.
Glenda Mae Perkins was born January 12, 1924 on a farm west of Aline, OK. to Luther Avril Shobe and Letha Bell Mott Shobe. She went to be with her Lord on September 30, 2005 after a short illness. She and Robert "Bob" Mitchell Perkins were married on May 6, 1944 at the Alva Christian Church parsonage. They began their married life in Del Rio, Texas and Enid, OK. while Bob was in the Army Air Corp. Glenda passed from this life on the farm where they had spent 60 happy years. She was active in the Aline Christian Church where she was Sunday school junior superintendent and teacher for many Aline youth. She also held various offices in CWF and Cherokee Chapter 174 of the Order of Eastern Star.
Glenda will be missed by her two children, Deborah Gay Hedrick, of the home, and Robert Mitchell Perkins II and his wife, Vicki, of Ames, OK.; her grandchildren, Rob Sims and wife, Teresa, of Aline, OK.; Chanda Perkins Kennemer and husband, Wayne, of Dallas, TX., Crystal Perkins of Oklahoma City, OK., April Perkins of Edmond, OK. and Brandan Perkins of the home; her great-grandchildren, Price and Emmie Kennemer, Keegen McKee Perkins and baby Sims, coming in February 2006; one sister, Neola Shobe Reihm of Aline, OK.; one sister-in-law, Thelma Wright of Louisiana, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, on October 10, 2004, her parents, an infant sister, Evelyn, and a brother, Junior L. Shobe.
Glenda's legacy will be her witness for the Lord to her family, friends and others.

Aline Star Cemetery


Funeral service for Robert (Bobby) Mitchell Perkins, 82, will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday October 13, 2004 at Aline Christian Church with Rev. Casey McKenna officiating. Burial will follow at Aline Star Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena.

The casket will be open on Wednesday before the service from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.lanmanfuneralhomes.com.

Bob is survived by Glenda, his wife of 60 years of the home; one daughter, Deborah Gay Hedrick of Aline; one son, Robert M. Perkins II and wife, Vicki of Ames; five grandchildren, Rob Sims (born on Bob's birthday) and fiance, Teresa Snyder of Aline, Chanda Kennemer and husband, Wayne of Cushing, Crystal Perkins of Oklahoma City, April Perkins of Ames, Brandan Perkins of Aline; two great grandchildren, Price and Emmie Kennemer of Cushing and one sister, Thelma Electa Wright.

Bob is preceded in death by both parents and grandparents, Bob and Electa Hope.

Memorials may be made to the Aline Christian Church through the funeral home.
