Aline Star Cemetery


Waynoka--Loren Chester Prentice, 84, a longtime farmer-rancher in the Aline-Waynoka area, died Wednesday evening in an Enid nursing facility.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of God with the Rev. Harold Taves and the Rev. Eakle Allen officiating.
Burial will be in the Aline Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka.
Prentice was born Oct. 12, 1899, in St. John, Kan., and had lived in the Aline-Waynoka community since 1905.
He and Ida May Whiteneck were married May 16, 1921, near Waynoka.
Prentice was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by his wife, Ida of the home; a son, Dr. Richard Prentice of Williams, California; a daughter, Carol (Mrs. Leland) Steffen of Enid; a twin brother Lowell Prentice of Aline and seven grandchildren.
