Aline Star Cemetery


Helena – The funeral for Roberta Bell Harmon, 96, will be 2 PM Saturday at Cleo Springs United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brian Mangan officiating. Burial will follow at Aline Star Cemetery under direction of Lanman Funeral Home of Helena. The casket will be open at the funeral home from 9 AM to 8 PM today and at the church from 1 to 2 PM Saturday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM today at the funeral home.

She was born December 28, 1902, in Anadarko, Oklahoma Territory to Warren Jackson and Laura P. Alexander Carter and died Wednesday, September 15, 1999, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.

On August 18, 1927, she married Wherry Lafayette Harmon at Alva and they made their home in Helena. She was a schoolteacher and member of Cleo Springs United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Hilda Hope Crane of Helena, Mabel May Godfrey of Rolla, Missouri, and Martha Jane Yoss of Leonard, Texas; one sister, Thelma V. Ryan; four grandchildren; and five great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and one brother.

Memorials but be made through the funeral home to Cleo Springs United Methodist Church or charity of donor's choice.
