CLEO SPRINGS - The funeral for Robert Lyle Elle, 72, who died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital, Oklahoma City will be at 2 pm Thursday at Cleo Springs United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jerry Turner will officiate. Burial will be in Aline-Star Cemetery under the direction of Kenny Lanman Funeral Home.
He was born Feb. 6,1917, in Aline to Daniel and Elizabeth Elle. He graduated from Aline High School and served during World War ll. He and Edith Stiles were married Jan. 1,1964, in Cleo Springs. He had owned and operated the Elle Garage at Aline and was a member of Kiner Ryel American Legion of Aline Post.
Surviving are his wife; five stepdaughters, Deloris Francis of Enid, Mrs Julian (Janie) Nightengale of Cleo Springs, Mrs Raymond (Sue) Barnes of Longdale, Mrs Harold (Peggy) Ent of Carmen and Mrs Joe (Charlotte) Anson of Oakwood; one stepson, Jim Stiles of Helena; his stepmother, Roxey Elle of Aline; one sister, Mildred Tomlin of Cherokee; 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
