Aline Star Cemetery


Alva – Services for Paul Allen, 68, will be 2 PM Tuesday at the College Hill Church of Christ. The Rev. Hartsell Johnson will officiate. Allen died Saturday at a hospital in Clarksville, Texas.

Burial will be at the Aline Star Cemetery under the direction of Wentworth Mortuary of Carmen.

Allen was born October 15, 1918, in Aline, the son of William and America Mae Allen. On January 24, 1941, he married Mabel Kershner in Cherokee. The couple lived in the Alva area until recently, when they moved to Clarksville, Texas.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and a World Or I I veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel, of the home; a son, Charles Allen, Farris, Texas, and three grandchildren.

Allen will lie in state in Clarksville on Sunday and in Carmen at the funeral home Monday afternoon.
