Lester Wilhite

Lester Wilburn Wilhite was born July 31, 1926 on Skylight Mountain in Washington County, Arkansas to Oscar Franklin Wilhite and Lucy Rosetta (West) Wilhite.

He went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2007 in Springdale, Arkansas at 80 years of age.
On March 20, 1948, Lester was married to Dixie Elizabeth Fields in Fayetteville, Arkansas and to this union was born five children, Rosetta, Kaye, Gene, Terry and Jimmy.
Lester was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served his country proudly during World War II.

He was currently a member of Faith Holiness Church.

Lester was called to preach the gospel and faithfully served the Lord over 56 years in the ministry.

He also worked as a farmer in the agricultural industry.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his loving wife, Dixie, on August 9, 2001 and four brothers and four sisters.
Surviving family includes his children, Rosetta Williams, of Westville, Kaye Curtis, of West Siloam Springs, OK, Gene Wilhite, of Italy, TX, Terry Wilhite and Jimmy Wilhite, both of Westville; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two sisters, Lila Parson, of Colorado Springs, CO and Vada Reed, of Westville and a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 12, 2007 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. G.W. Birdson, Bro. Paul Thompson and Bro. Marty Jones officiating.

Intement followed at Westville City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
