Andy Turn

Andy TURN, son of William TURN and Lizzie PUMPKIN TURN was born April 12, 1916 in Baron and departed this life Saturday, September 2, at his home in Westville at the age of 84 years 2 months and 20 days.
Andy was married to Lillie WILLIAMS on November 18, 1937 and to this union were born six children, Dale, Elsie, Cathy, Becky, Charlene and Marlene.

He served his country proudly during World War II having served January 1944 through September 1945. He was injured two times during the war for which he received the Purple Heart. Andy was instrumental in founding two churches in his community.
He is preceded in death by both parents; two daughters, Charlene WINKLER and Marlene TURN; two brothers, Charles DOWNING and Ed TURN; and one sister, Betty SHEETS.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Dale; three daughters, Elsie, Cathy and Becky, all of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday September 6, at 2:00 p.m. in the Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paulette GOWER officiating.

Interment followed at the Westville City Cemetery.
