Gary Wayne Thomas, son of Ervil Kenneth and Juanita Delores (Choate) Thomas was born February 1, 1952 in Prairie Grove, AR and departed this life on October 12, 2010 in Beaumont, TX at the age of 58 years, 8 months, and 17 days.
He enjoyed hunting, farming, working on cars, running heavy equipment and was a truck driver by trade. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Juanita Choate Thomas, his grandparents; Roy and Margaret Choate, James H. and Silvia Thomas and 1 nephew; Milan Wilkie.
Gary is survived by a very loving family that includes his father: E. K. Thomas, 2 sons; Justin Doyle Thomas and Wife Misty, Gary Bryan Thomas both of Stilwell, Ok, daughter; Haleigh Noelle Thomas of Sallisaw, OK, Grandchildren; Ashley and Hayden Thomas of Stilwell, OK, siblings; Charles Thomas and wife Cindy of Grove, OK, Linda Walters and husband Darrell of Sallisaw, OK, Glenda Wilkie and husband Danny and Brenda Hensley all of Westville, OK. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held, Monday, October 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Roberts Funeral Chapel with Bro. Darrell Lacie and Bro. Rick Armer officiating. Interment followed in the Westville City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
