Rhonda Kaylene Carlton departed this life on April 20, 2008, at the age of 35 years, 11 months.
She was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on May 20, 1972 to Judy (Rich) Batt and Ronnie Batt.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Dana Batt, her maternal grandparents, Rentha Rich and Lawrence Rich, her paternal grandmother, Vera Batt and her paternal grandfather, Johnny Batt.
Rhonda graduated in May of 1994 from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.
She was a born again Christian and a member of the Tabernacle of Praise Church in Westville, OK, where she was the Sunday School Teacher for the 3 year-old class. She held this position and these children very dearly in her heart.
She received treatments at the Cancer Care Center in Tulsa and touched the lives of so many people there, not only the patients, but the nurses and physicians also. She brought hope to those who didn't have any before and was such a great witness to everyone who saw her. She made so many friends at the clinic and was asked for a lot.
She is survived by a very loving family, which includes her husband and best friend, Shannon Carlton; four children, Steven, Mercedee, Weston and McKenlee Carlton, all of the home in Westville; her mother, Judy Batt, of Stilwell, her father, Ronnie Batt and his wife, Theresa, of Pryor, OK, five brothers, Derrick Bates and Brady Bates, of Stilwell, Coby, Joseph and Ronnie Batt, Jr.; one sister, Mykiah Batt, all of Pryor, OK and one half sister, Shawnna Rush.
She is also survived by her precious mother and father-in-law, Junior and Shirley Carlton, of Westville; a special family, Roy, Neva, Amanda and Jason Brown, all of Stilwell, and a huge extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and so many special friends that she held dear in her heart.
