Nettie Lorene McLeroy
July 30, 1927 - April 10, 2009

Nettie Lorene McLeroy, the daughter of Mark and Elsie (Marrs) Doty, was born July 30, 1927, in Boyd, Texas. She passed away suddenly on April 10, 2009, at the age of 81, along with her husband, Harvy Loyd.

On October 11, 1945, she was married to Harvy Loyd McLeroy in Grandberry, Texas. This union was blessed with three sons, Harvey L., Marcus and Cecil.
Lorene was a member of the Assembly of God and lived in the Jaybird Community. She took an active role in both church and her community. She was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Terry Wayne McLeroy, daughter-in-law, Patricia Verlene McLeroy and great granddaughter, Mary Rachel Elsey.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons and their wives, Harvey L. and Deloris June McLeroy, Marcus and Freda Mae McLeroy, Cecil and Sharon Kay McLeroy, 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. April 14, 2008, at Westville City Cemetery with Rev. Bill Williams and Rev. Bobby Dobbs officiating. Burial is under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
