Paul Fishinghawk

Paul Fishinghawk was born March 25, 1934 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Chickilla Fishinghawk and Dora Blackwood Gritts Fourkiller. He passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years.

Paul graduated from Stilwell High School class of 1952 and joined the army in 1954. Paul served his country in the United States Army.

On March 17, 1954, Paul was united in marriage with Helen Sweet in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and to this union three children were born. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Locust Grove and the Blind Veterans Association. Paul enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, and watching sports especially OU.

Paul is survived by three children, Rhonda Stanley and her husband, David of Tahlequah, David Fishinghawk and his wife, Michele of Locust Grove; Paula Barton and her husband, Russell of Tulsa; one sister, Katherine Paden of Tahlequah; one brother, Woodrow Fourkiller and his wife, Francis of Stilwell; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his dad; his mom; his wife, Helen; 3 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Leo and J.T., and 5 sisters, Jeannette, Annie, Leona, Ruby, and Dorothy.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 8, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Matthew D. Franks officiating. Interment followed in Westville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Locust Grove Funeral Home. Condolences may be made online at www.locustgrovefunerlhome.com
