Eunice Shafer
February 28, 1921 - April 1, 2006
Eunice Shafer was born February 28, 1921 in Lincoln, Arkansas to Sidney B. Moore and Viola (Milam) Moore and departed this life April 1, 2006 in Tahlequah at the age of 85 years, one month and three days.
On September 4, 1937, Eunice was married to Francis R. Shafer in Stilwell. Their union was blessed with five children, Jackie Raymond, William, John, Linda and Maxine. Eunice spent her life as a homemaker, lovingly caring for her family. She attended Christie Freewill Church and was baptized September 2, 1956.
Her parents, husband, Francis, one son, Jackie Raymond Shafer, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Her surviving family includes two sons, William C. Shafer and wife Vickie of Cleveland, OK, John B. Shafer and wife Joann of Christie; two daughters: Linda Watt and husband Milton of Niamey Niger, Africa, F. Maxine Campbell and husband Bob of Christie; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2006 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Fred Nixon and Bro. Joe Pigeon officiating. Internment followed at Westville City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Westville.
