Donald Ray Delaney

Donald Ray Delaney son of Doy Lee “Doc” and Wilma (Trolinger) Delaney was born January 21, 1953 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 26, 2012 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas at the age of 59 years, 2 months and 5 days.
Donald served his country proudly in the United States Army and the Unites States Marine Corp which he was most proud of. While in the military he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. He was also a coin collector and baseball card collector but he knew a lot about all sports. When able to work he was a very dedicated and hard worker.
He was preceded in death by his father; Doy “Doc” Delaney and one niece; Joan Brown.
Donald is survived by a very loving family that includes his 3 children; Donny Delaney and Danny Delaney both of Modesto, CA, Kimberly Delaney of Yuba City, CA, 5 grandchildren; Aiden and Austin Delaney, Hailey Delaney, Cameron Delaney, and Madison Delaney of all of Modesto, CA. His mother; Wilma Delaney of Westville, OK, 1 brother; Floyd Delaney of Lincoln, AR, 1 sister; Shirley Brown of Westville, OK, special nephews; Wayne Brown and wife Jessica, Kenneth Underhill, David Underhill, Lawrence Underhill, special nieces; Charlene Sidebottom and Sherry Underhill, special friend who was like a brother; Terry Farmer, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held at 10 am on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Roberts Chapel, Westville with Bro. Steven Harrington officiating. Interment followed at Westville City Cemetery.
