Stephanie Ann Chandler, 45, of Christie, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 15, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.

Stephanie was born on October 19, 1974 to Sam Chandler and Cindy Chandler. She graduated from Westville High School in 1992 and then attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, where she graduated with a degree in education.

Over the course of 23 years, Stephanie taught at Skelly School, Westville School and Zion School. She loved children and loved seeing them learn. She spent many hours after school preparing for the next day. She was an amazing grant writer and was able to get numerous grants for the schools at which she worked. She loved teaching and really excelled at it. Over the years, she was awarded “Teacher of the Year” three times.
 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Cindy Chandler, her maternal grandparents: Verlin and Shirley Littlejohn, and paternal grandparents: Ferel and Mary Lou Chandler.
 

She is survived by a loving family that includes her two children, which she was so proud of, Chanae Garman and her husband Emmit  Larrit Stacks, father: Sam Chandler, sisters: Kristi Smith and husband Scottie, Samantha Herbert and husband Budge, nephews: Chandler Smith, Lute Herbert, nieces: Brianna Smith, Marla Smith, Korley Herbert, Rosslyn Smith and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Impact Church, Westville, with Pastor Chris Harrison and Rev. Navil Vaughan officiating.

Interment will follow at Westville City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell
