Funeral services for Ms. Rena Thorstensen were held Monday February 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church with Pastor Mike Walker officiating. Interment followed in the Tyler Springs Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell. Online guest book and obituaries available at: Hart Funeral Home

Ms. Rena Thorstensen, the daughter of Charles Ever and Olive LaRena Thorstensen, was born March 17, 1941 in San Francisco, California and was born again to eternal life on February 12, 2017 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 26 days.

Rena enjoyed life and loved serving the Lord. She was a member of the First Christian Church and she loved to sing and enjoyed being a part of the choir. Over the years, Rena worked as a spy for the FBI, as an administrator at the USC Medical School in California, as a real estate agent, as a business owner and as vice president of the Chamber of Commerce in Gore, OK. She owned and operated Five Oaks at Lake Tenkiller, a vacation rental venue. She was a dedicated foster parent for many years. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and shopping.

Rena loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed animals, and having a beautiful home in Stilwell. Rena touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a great grandson Isaiah Rodarte.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Deborah Kwolek and husband Christopher of Lexington, MA, Jeanne Edwards of San Gabriel, CA, Teresa Gomez of Madison, WI, Rebekah Gomez of Apple Valley, CA, and Jessica Falk and husband Verne of Stilwell, OK; 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
