Ronald Ketcher, son of Ralph Wayne and Maida Lee (Locust) Ketcher was born July 18, 1947 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on May 16, 2019 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 28 days.
 

Ronnie graduated from Stilwell High School. He then went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State and his masters from KU. He worked hard to provide for his family. He held positions at CNI, Housing Authority, People Inc. and was still currently employed at Cherokee Nation as a medical social worker.

He was a man of few words but had a great love for his family. “Pops” was sure loved by many and was proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandson.

During his free time, Ronnie was an avid runner, bicyclist, loved basketball and a pool shark where he traveled many miles to play in pool tournaments.
 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Ralph, Gene and Mike Ketcher, sister; Kathy Hevezi, nephews; Kevin Ketcher and Ryan Gene Ketcher.
 

Ronnie is survived by a very loving family that includes; Karen Ketcher, his children; Shawna Renee Calico, Jeffrey “Chig” Ketcher all of Stilwell, granddaughters; Taryn King and husband J.C., Hailey Cochran, Chelsea Bunch, Henlie Ketcher, Haven Ketcher, grandson; Beau Hamlin, great -grandson; Brantlee King, sister; Mary Jo Goodall of Waco, Texas. sisters-in-law; Pam Ketcher, Mary Caviness and husband Jerry, Glenda Clinton and husband Earl, Lena Worley, brother-in-law; Sherman Coombes and wife Henry, special friends; Canaan Duncan and Jacob Black, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends also survive him.
 

Funeral services were held, Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in the Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Joey Ketcher, Bro. Chuck Glass and Bro. Robert Ketcher officiating.

Interment followed in the Tyler Springs Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home
