David White, the son of David A. White and Juanita (Persevill) White, was born December 15, 1943, in Quail, Texas. He passed from this life on July 3, 2015, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 71.

David was married to Bessie Thompson on April 16, 1965 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. In 1975, they moved to Wynnewood, Oklahoma and remained there until 1982 when they were relocated to Midland, Texas with David's oil field production job. He retired in December of 2010 after 20 years of service as a production superintendent with Kerr-Patrick Oil Company.

David and Bessie moved to Stilwell in 2012 and have been members of Rock Springs Baptist Church since that time. David enjoyed hunting, skiing, yard work and any outdoor activities. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed restoring his classic pickups, the last one being a 1971 Chevy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David & Juanita White; two sisters, Betty Hill and Lou Flynn.

He leaves behind a loving family which includes, his wife of 50 years, Bessie White, of the home; children, Verril White and wife, Paula, of Dover, OK, Shane White, of Midland, TX, Travis White and wife, Maria, of San Antonio; sisters, Ann Starbuck, of Stilwell and Zona Waits, of Fayetteville, AR; grandchildren, Geirn Chinn, Sarah Davidson, David Lee, David Shane, Bessie Marie, Stephanie Hernandez, Javier, Joshua and Anthony Hernandez; great grandchildren, Serenity Messick, Tyler Davidson, Scarlet Davidson, Abigail Chinn, Yahir Villegas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Wendal Haugh officiating. Interment will follow at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
