Maggie Ann “Peggy” Sullins, daughter of Harrison Taylor and Maudie Cherokee (Littlejohn) Brown was born August 9, 1943 in Stilwell, OK and departed this life to be with our Lord on July 20, 2012 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 68 years, 11 months and 11 days.
Peggy loved to babysit, enjoyed cooking at senior citizens and making daily trips to sonic with her sister. She also worked at the thrift store pricing merchandise and serving as cashier. She would often help with the handicap children. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a member of the Noel Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sons, 2 brothers; Joe Harvey and William Brown, 5 sisters; Margaret Brown, Carline Salsman, Linda Hothouse, Mary Higgins and Connie Smith.
Peggy is survived by a very loving family that includes her 3 daughters; Billie Ann Pettit Grigsby of Stilwell, OK, Nancy Haley Black of Harrison, AR, Glenda Marie Sullins of Stilwell, OK, grandchildren; Linda Dugger, Darrel Dugger, Robert Shivers, Jessica Shivers, Emmalee Shivers, Donivan Riddle, Jesse and Holly Akins, Tisha and Jon Lasson, Teresa and Jack Hames, Gina Pettit, Little Wolfe Pettit, Tom Pettit, Watie Pettit and Karrie Grigsby, great grandchildren; Tommy Sullins, Cheyenne Hames, Josiah Pettit, Harmony Pettit, Nathan Akins, Kaden Akins, Kamrea Hardbarger, Aubree Akins, Aaliyah Larson, Alyssa Larson and Braxton Larson, 4 sisters; Myrtle Marie Stages of Shamrock, TX, Opal Louise King, Wanda Faye Brown and husband Adrian all of Stilwell, OK, Irene Haley Kay and husband Tracy of Wilburton, OK, 2 brothers; Troy Lee Brown and wife Anita of Sublette, KS, Roy G. Brown and wife Neva, 2 brothers in law; Mickey Salsman and Dallas Smith of Stilwell, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends, including two special friends since high school: Marion Carter and Shirley Poe.
Visitation from noon to 8 pm on Monday, July 23, 2012 Funeral services at 10 am on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Joe Morgan and Jim Walker officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
