Frank Shannon, 69, a pioneer resident of this area, died at his home here Monday night, May 14 after a long illness. He was a retired rural mail carrier, a member of the Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge.

Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, in the Roberts Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Stilwell Cemetery.

Survivors include: the widow, Mrs. Oma Shannon of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy McAnally of Stilwell, and Mrs. Sue Gray, of Duncan; two brothers, George of Stilwell, and Ab of Newton, Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Sigler of Abilene, Texas, Mrs. Ed Mendenhall of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Ralph Myatt of Garnett, Kansas; and five grandchildren.
