Jeffery Dale Scott

Jeffery Dale Scott the son of Lanny Dale Scott and Frances (Stewart) Watkins was born August 2, 1970 in Okeene, Oklahoma and departed this life on January 28, 2019 in Englewood, Ohio at the age of 48 years, 5 months and 26 days.

Jeffery loved his family and he loved his country. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps and was very proud of his service.  He enjoyed life and loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and just being outdoors. Jeffery loved Star Wars and enjoyed reading Star Wars books and watching the movies. He also enjoyed playing video games. Jeffery touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Beulah Tomlinson and Sam Scott and Ester and Ruben Stewart; and a special uncle, Frank Cloud.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife Sherry Lynn Scott of the home; his parents Lanny Scott of Nebraska and Frances Watkins of Stilwell; his children Justin Dayle Scott of Stilwell, Alexis Jordan Scott of Greenland, AR, Xander Ryean Scott of Stilwell, Laura Hollen and husband Tyler Dailey of Union, OH, and Sarah Hollen of Englewood, OH; his brothers Michael James Scott and wife Ira from Noga City, Philippines and Johnny Ray Scott of Nebraska; his sister Mary Kathryn Lands and husband Curtis of Farmington, AR and two grandchildren Lucas Hollen and Madison Frazier. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.

Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dwayne Driggers officiating.

Interment was held 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2019 at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
