Lynda Faye Ritter
October 9, 1950 - May 11, 2006
Lynda Faye Ritter, the daughter of Homer and Faye (Humphrey) Hignite was born October 9, 1950 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and departed this life on May 11, 2006 in Tulsa, at the age of 55 years, 7 months and 11 days.
Lynda was saved at the age of 13. She was married on January 23, 1970 to Joe Ritter. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Stilwell.
Lynda went to college and received her teaching degree. She taught at the Stilwell Christian Academy and substituted at the Stilwell High School. She ran a day care for 13, years in Stilwell
Lynda was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Joe and Alma Hignite, and her maternal grandparents, Sam and Pearl Humphrey.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her husband of over 36 years , Joe Ritter of the home in Stilwell; one daughter: Shelly Quiring and husband Collin of Siloam Springs; two grandchildren: Jessica and Ryan Quiring of Siloam Springs; her parents Homer and Faye Hignite of Stilwell; two sisters: Joyce Parsons and husband Roe of Pittsburg, Kansas and Theresa Wilson and husband Jim of Stilwell. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her
Funeral services were held Monday, May 15, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Stilwell, with Bro. Roger Haney and Bro. Don Varbel officiating.
Interment followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
