George Charles Mennecke Jr
September 23, 1929-September 27, 2007
George Charles Mennecke, Jr., the son of George Charles Mennecke, Sr., and Helen (Clark) Mennecke, was born in Queens, New York on September 23, 1929, and departed this life September 27, 2007, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years and 4 days.
On October 3, 1953, George was united in marriage to Donna Ruth Brindle in Greenland, Arkansas.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. George worked for GCMCO as a financial advisor and then as a TV repairman until his retirement. As a devoted family man, he was considered to be the best father a kid could have. He enjoyed shooting guns, hiking and making jewelry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Donna Ruth Mennecke, on December 24, 1999.
George is survived by one son, George M. Mennecke, of Stilwell, OK, one daughter; Lisa Lynne Mennecke, of Gentry, AR, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Stilwell City Cemetery with Bro. Max Ford officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to Hart Funeral Home.
