Gwinn Maverick Collins, son of Virginia Arlene Young and Ernist Ray Collins, was born August 7, 1960 in Woodland, California and departed this life on December 2, 2018 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years, 3 months and 25 days.

He graduated from Stilwell High School. He then went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Army and Reserves for 11 years. He worked for Stilwell Public Schools for over 10 years. He was an avid cat lover always caring for several. He enjoyed talking and visiting with everyone he came in contact with and was a great artist with a huge heart always giving his drawings away.

Maverick was preceded in death by his mother; Virginia A. Dodson, father; Ernist Ray Collins and brother; Eddie Collins.

He is survived by a very loving family that includes his sisters; Carla Goad and husband Richard of Union City, Laura Hathaway and husband Bryan of Oregon, Carol Drumm and husband Darrell of Bunch, brothers; Steve Collins and wife Cindy of Tahlequah, Bobby Collins and wife Reba, Carl Collins and wife Sharon all of Stilwell. Stepdad Larry Dodson of Stilwell, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, with Neal Garrett officiating.

Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
