Connie Bee Carter, son of Bee and Minnie Lucille (Holland) Carter, was born on December 21, 1944 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on Friday, August 12, 2011 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 22 days.
He was a glazier by trade. Connie owned and operated Carter Glass in Stilwell for several years. He was also a member of the Oklahoma National Guard. Connie was an avid hunter and fisherman, who was loved by many in the community. He possessed a common-sense knowledge that served him well in business as well as life. As a keystone of the family and a great friend to many, his presence will be greatly missed.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Bee and Lucille Carter.
Surviving Connie are his sons: Clay Carter of Ft. Smith, AR, and Casey Carter of Bunch, OK, brother: Flake Thomas Carter of Scottsdale, AZ, aunt: Helen Holland of Oklahoma City, OK, step children: Jimmie Talent of Stilwell, OK, Cheryl Gray of Tahlequah, OK, Cindy Pinkerton of Tahlequah, Rhonda Crean of New Castle, DE, grandchildren: Chris Copeland and Presley Copeland of Tahlequah, Daphne Crean and Darron Crean of New Castle, DE. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Ronnie Ford officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
