Patricia (Pat) Louise (Garrett) Carson, 78, of Stilwell, Oklahoma passed away on July 12, 2013 surrounded by her family.
Pat was born in Stilwell, Oklahoma on October 24, 1934. She graduated from Stilwell High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s of Arts in Home Economics from Oklahoma A & M College.
Pat taught home economics at Skiatook Public Schools and Stilwell High School before having children. After starting a family, she chose to stay home where she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Pat was also an active member of the First Christian Church in Stilwell and the local Soroptimist chapter in Stilwell. Her joy was her family, nothing meant more to her than being a wife, mother and grandmother.
Pat is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joe Lynn Carson. Pat is also survived by her two children: Lynn Carson and his wife Jody and Joellen Ostrander, her grandchildren: Rachel Felice and her husband Robert, Kristen Carson, her sister: Bobbie Keeter and husband Vyrl, her brother: John Garrett and wife Debi and many more relatives and friends.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents: Mack Garrett and Emma Belle Garrett, as well as her brother: Frank Garrett.
Though she struggled with Alzheimers in later years, her kind and generous spirit was always evident. Pat’s family wishes to thank the staff at Go Ye Village in Tahlequah, Oklahoma for their genuine care and support.

Funeral services were held at 10 am on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Vance Eubanks officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
