Murl Noah Deason
May 6, 1927 - April 29, 2006
Murl Noah Deason, the son of Homer Leslie Deason and Flora Elizabeth (Walker) Deason, was born May 6, 1927 in Adair County. He passed away April 29, 2006 at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell, at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 23 days
Murl was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and the last in his family of eight brothers. He was a farmer, squirrel hunter and an avid football fan of this favorite team, the OU Sooners. Murl was a member of Spade Mountain Holiness Mission.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers: Arlis Richard, Maris Adolph, Arie Buel, Burl Franklin, Wilburn Dee, Leonard Bruce and Billie John Deason and one infant sister, Patsy Deason.
Surviving family includes one daughter, Rene Jennings and husband, Darreld, of Stilwell; four grandchildren: Steven Smith, Chris Smith, Dayna Jo Smith and Stacey Smith, of Stilwell; Four great grandchildren: Lakoda Smith, Caliesta Smith, Trey Smith and Kaden Smith of Stilwell, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Services were held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at Spade Mountain Holiness Mission with Bro. Steven Hunter officiating.
Interment followed at Spade Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
