Funeral service for Leonard Eubanks, 42 years old, who died December 1, was held Friday, December 3 at the Spade Mission Church with Bro. Arthur Essary officiating.

Mr. Eubanks was born July 24, 1912.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa, one daughter, Shirley, and three sons, Wayne, Jimmie and Erwin.

Burial was in Spade Mission Cemetery with Roberts Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

No other information could be obtained.

Rosa Lee Eubanks, the daughter of Hugh and Minnie (Newman) Killion, was born April 20, 1919, in Pettigrew, Arkansas and went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2008, at the Stilwell Nursing Home at the age of 89 years, seven months and six days.

Rosa was married to Leonard Jackson Eubanks on October 28, 1936, and to this union was born four children, Wayne, Jim, Irvin and Shirley.

Rosa attended and was secretary for Rocky Mountain Community Church for many years and also taught Sunday School classes. She was also a cook for Rocky Mountain School, retiring after 31 years of service, and was known for her cooking and culinary skills.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Wayne and Jim Eubanks, one brother, Edward Killion, one sister, Thelma, one daughter-in-law, Charity Eubanks and one grandson, David Ray Eubanks.

She leaves behind a loving family which includes her children, Irvin and Judy Eubanks, of Locust Grove, OK, Shirley and Johnny Mays, of Stilwell; one daughter-in-law, Judy Eubanks; one sister, Ruth Lecrone, of Tahlequah, OK, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many friends and loved ones.

Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2008, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Hall and Rev. Bill Roundtree officiating.

Interment followed at Spade Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
