Goldie Newman Eubanks was born January 21, 1921 in Pettigrew, Arkansas to Cicero Newman and Ader Evans. She departed this life May 9, 2006 at her home in Stilwell at the age of 85 years, 3 months and 17 days.

Goldie's life was centered around her church and family. She attended the Rocky Mountain Community Church, and faithfully taught the adult Sunday school class for many years. She will be missed by her church family.

Goldie was preceded in death by her parents Cicero and Ader Evans Newman and her husband Floyd Eubanks.

Goldie is survived by a very loving family that includes her sons: Eugene and wife Clydenna, Lonnie and wife Pat, Donnie and wife Judy, Joe and wife Wanda, Gary and wife Shelley all of Stilwell, nine grandchildren: Carla Ellis of Austin, TX, Sheila Wright, Nichole Starr, Jeff, Donald, Kendra, Joseph, Micah, and Chelsea Eubanks all of Stilwell, 10 great grandchildren: Justin Earl, Kayla Gene, Mariah, Haley, Aaron and Hanna Eubanks, Lacee Wright, Lane Wright, and Kenzie Starr all of Stilwell and Michaelia Ellis of Austin, TX. Seven sister-in-laws: Edith, Wilma, Goldie Mae, Sybil, Rosie, Francil, and Tott; and one brother-in-law: Claude. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held Friday May 12, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Jim Essary and Bro. Bill Roundtree officiating.

Interment followed in the Spade Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver funeral home.
