Funeral services for R. L. Deason, 49, of Stilwell, were held Monday, Feb. 23, 1998 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Eagle officiating.

Interment was in the Spade Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.

R. L. was born Aug. 26, 1948 in Adair County, Okla. to Arlise Richard Deason and Ruby Marie O'Neal Deason. He died Thursday, Feb. 19, at his home in Stilwell.

He was self-employed as a construction worker and a rancher. He was married to Linda Bunch on June 12, 1970 in Stilwell. He was of the Baptist faith.

R. L. was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by: one son, Jason Deason of Stilwell; one daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Jeff Salazar of Stilwell; their mother, Linda Deason of Stilwell; his mother, Ruby Marie Deason of Stilwell; a sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Gene Jenkins of Tulsa; one grandson, Cayden Salazar of Stilwell; one niece, one nephew, and three grand-nephews.
