Lizzie Mae Teehee

Lizzie Mae Teehee left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 27, 2021 at the age of 83.

Lizzie was born May 14, 1938 to Roger and Nancy (Sawney) Cochran.  She married George Teehee and from this union had 9 children and one stepson. 

Lizzie loved going to church, attending singings, sewing and sharing stories about her ancestors, culture and teaching the Cherokee language and ways.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them.   She will be greatly missed.

Lizzie was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Sarah, her parents, stepson: Nathaniel Teehee, grandsons: Jonathan Handle and Joshua Teehee, sisters: Joanne Smith and Sally Terrapin, brothers: Charlie Cochran, Andy Cochran, Tom Cochran and J.D. Cochran.

She is survived by her loving children: Jennie Wolfe, Leona Jackson and husband Dean, Bernice Powell and husband Phillip, Alene Teehee, George Teehee, Jr. and wife Shirley, Dennis Teehee, Henry Teehee and Kenneth Teehee.  Lizzie is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. 

Graveside Service was held 1:00 PM, Friday, October 1, 2021 at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Roberts-Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Stilwell, OK.
