Nellie Duncan Sam "Bonnie" was born on May 24, 1943 in Adair County, Oklahoma to Polly Sawney Duncan and Clint Duncan. She departed this life to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years.

She was married to Henry Sam for many years. She worked at Stilwell Foods and retired from there after 20 years. Nellie was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids. She loved going to church and singings.

Nellie was preceded in death by her husband: Henry Sam, parents: Clint and Polly Duncan, grandchildren: Tabitha Sam and David Auffet, brother: Robert Springwater, sisters: Nancy Soap and Louella Duncan.

She is survived by a loving family that includes her children: Susie Ummerteskee and husband Rodney, Henry Sam and wife Teresa, Shirley Sam and Blake Langworthy of Stilwell, Ronny and Machell Sam of Chickasaw, OK, John Sam of Stilwell, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, siblings: Ora Owl, Winnie Chuculate, Clarence and Daisy Duncan, Bobby Joe Duncan, Betty and Joe Galcatcher, all of Stilwell, OK, loving nieces, nephews and many friends who were all special to her.

Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Leo Duncan, Bro. John Flute and Bro. Leo McLemore officiating. Interment followed at Salem Cemetery.
