He attended Stilwell High School and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Virginia Toahty and to this union four children were born, Bruce Lee, Richard Lee, Jr. "KaBush", Scott Anthony and Amanda Brea Daugherty.
Later, he married Opal Fourkiller and no children, but five stepchildren were gained, Tara, Lisa, Kimberly, Timothy and Robert.
Richard is survived by his wife, Opal, of the home, his children, KaBush Daugherty and wife, Georgia, of Stilwell, Scott Anthony Daugherty and Amanda Brea Daugherty, both of Oklahoma City, OK; one grandson, Ishmael, of Oklahoma City, OK and one special granddaughter, Michele Lee Wolf, of Stilwell; stepchildren, Tara Eli and husband, Mike, Lisa Vann and husband, Albert, Kimberly Wilhite and husband, Jim, Timothy Squirrel and wife, Kimbery, Robert Squirrel and wife, Stacy, all of Stilwell; brothers, Joe Scott and wife, Mary Canoe and Rick Scott, all of Stilwell, Vernon Scott and wife Kathy, of Gravette, AR; sisters, Donna Jones and husband, Ralph Wolf and Shirley Roberts, all of Stilwell; 17 step grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and love ones.
