Martin Ellis Daugherty
October 27, 1939-March 21, 2008

Martin Ellis Daugherty, son of Snow and Winnie Mae (Soap) Daugherty was born October 27, 1939 in Adair County, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 21, 2008 in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 68 years.

He lived in Kansas City for 30 years working as a crane operator for the Operating Engineers Union Local 101.
He was a member of the 1st Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas. He loved to attend church activities, go fishing and watch Sequoyah ballgames.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 infant brother; Curtis Daughtery and 1 nephew; Richie Canoe.

Martin is survived by a very loving family that includes his daughter; Marilyn Reuda of Stilwell, OK., 4 grandchildren; Cody, Brittany, Keena and Kendall all of Stilwell, OK., 2 brothers; Johnny Daugherty and wife Chris, Jerry Daugherty and wife Jessie, 5 sisters; Lizzie Flynn and husband Tom, Emma Eagle and husband Lawrence, Neoma Cochran, Louann Eagle and husband Stoney, Doris Canoe and husband Richard all of Stilwell, OK. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 26, 2008 with Bro. Charles Ryand and Bro. Clyde Lingelbach officiating.
Intement followed in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/ Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
