Narcie (Sawney) Harper

Narcie Harper was born January 3, 1927 in Adair County, Oklahoma to Jim Sawney and Rachel (Springwater) Sawney and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at 80 years of age.

On November 2, 1946, Narcie and James Harper were united in marriage in Adair County. She enjoyed working in her yard, tending flowers and gardening, cooking, going to church and fishing during her younger years. Narcie was a faithful and dedicated member of First Baptish Church in Stilwell.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband; James Harper, two sons; Henry and Jimmy Dean Harper, two daughters; Rosie Harper and Johnanna Brown, two sisters; Lizzie Weavel and Peggy Sawney and one grandson; Michael Harper.

Her surviving family includes, two sons; Tommy Harper and wife Ella of Bunch, OK and Delbert Harper of Stilwell, OK, one daughter; Wanda Watkins of Stilwell, OK, one brother; Henry Lee Sawney and wife, Virginia of Stilwell, OK, two sisters; Ollie Sawney of Stilwell, OK, Florence Cornell and husband, Benjamin of Tahlequah, OK, 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Salem Cemetery with Bro. Ron LaCaze officiating. Burial is under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
