Emma Ruth (Teehee) Galcatcher

Emma Ruth Galcatcher, the daughter of Charley and Juanita (Sam) Teehee, was born April 5, 1934 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed away on June 21, 2016 at the Stilwell Nursing Home at the age of 82.

Emma was a lifelong resident of Stilwell and worked as a provider for several years.

She loved sewing and cooking and would encourage anyone to, "Come and eat" when they visited. Emma was a member of Salem Baptist Church who daily read her Bible and Cherokee Bible and was a diligent prayer warrior, praying for the needs of her family, friends and neighbors. She truly loved people and would give all that she had to anyone in need. Emma was the best mom and friend and a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Juanita Teehee, three sons, Monroe, Woodrow and Johnny, grandsons, Jonah and Chris, two brothers, Raymond Glass and John Teehee and one sister, Anabelle Duck.

Her surviving family includes, her children, Marvin Galcatcher and wife, Loretta, of Stilwell, Francine Frogg and husband, Leon, of Stilwell; siblings, Beulah Acorn and husband, Wallace, of Ft. Smith, AR, Amos Teehee and wife, Polly, of Claremore, Roy Lee Teehee and wife, Alene, of Stilwell, Billy Wayne Teehee and wife, Debbie, of Siloam Springs, AR. Ida Roberts and husband, Joe, of Stilwell; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Gary Flynn officiating.

Interment followed at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
