Nellie Sue (Canoe) Duncan 77, of Stilwell, OK. went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. surrounded by her family. Nellie was born April 6, 1937 in Nicut, OK to Charlie & Annie (Waters) Canoe.

She enjoyed visiting with everyone and never met a stranger. She loved making people laugh and smile. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, but most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and other family and friends.

Nellie attended Indian Mission Pentecostal Church of God in Bunch, OK when her health permitted her. She loved her church family very much. For many years Nellie worked as a CNA, and also as a kitchen aide at Greasy Schools. Nellie also enjoyed making quilts, and was well-known far and wide for her famous fried pies and other baked fruit pies.

Nellie is survived by 3 sons; Richard & Doris Canoe of Stilwell, OK. Felix Duncan, Jr. and Vernon Duncan both of Bunch, OK. Two daughters; Marilyn Perez of Stilwell, OK. Cherokee & Burl Livers also of Stilwell, OK. One sister; Tippi Drain of Bunch, OK. Seventeen grandchildren; Kenneth Canoe, Charles Canoe, Rochelle Canoe, Shaun Perez, Felicia Duncan, Jonathan Duncan, Andretta Jones, LeAnne Livers Woods, Lisa Livers, Faylene Locust, Brandon Duncan, Nastassia Duncan, Clarissa Duncan, Brianna Valdez, Brad Cheromiah, and Brett Cheromiah. Thirty-three great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends also survive her.

Nellie is preceded in death by her husband Felix Duncan, her parents, two brothers; Andy Riddle and Fred Riddle, one daughter; Janice Cheromiah, two grandsons; Richard (Richie) Canoe, Jr. and Brian Cheromiah, Jr. One special nephew Gene Riddle.

Nellie will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Family will greet friends for visitation on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 4PM to 8PM at the New Life Church on Orchard road in Stilwell, OK. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 2, 2015 at 1:00PM with interment following in the Salem Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Dighton-Moore Funeral Service of Owasso, OK.
