Zelma Cochran
May 21, 1945 - January 19, 2009
Zelma Cochran was born May 21, 1945, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Lee Bunch and Letha (Quinton) Bunch. She went home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years, 7 months and 28 days.
Zelma married Martin Cochran in Stilwell on April 21, 1968. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2006. Zelma worked as a teacher’s assistant at Bell School for several years and was a member of Belfonte Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband and four brothers, Charlie, Joe, Rabbit and Herbert.
Her surviving family includes three sons, Anthony Cochran, Stephen Cochran and Jeremy Cochran and wife, Robin, all of Stilwell; three brothers, Hubert Bunch, Leon Bunch and Lee Bunch, Jr., all of Stilwell; four sisters, Leola Beaty, Joann Wofford, Kathy Gonzales and Viola Holloway, all of Stilwell and one granddaughter, Whitly Cochran.
Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at Belfonte Baptist Church with Bro. John Gonzales, Jr. and Bro. Steve Morgan officiating. Interment followed at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
