Janice Renee (Duncan) Cheromiah, daughter of Felix and Nellie (Canoe) Duncan, was born on March 26, 1965 in Tahlequah, OK, and departed this life July 17, 2012 in Stilwell, OK, at the age of 47 years, 3 months, and 21 days.
She enjoyed visiting with everyone and never met a stranger, she loved making people laugh, smile and was always willing to lend a helping hand, but most of all; She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Felix Duncan, a son, Brian Cheromiah, Jr., her grandparents, Taylor and Sarah Duncan, Charlie and Annie Canoe and a nephew, Richard Dale Canoe Jr.
Janice is survived by a loving family that includes 3 children, Brad Cheromiah and wife Kristie of Stilwell, OK, Brett Cheromiah of Stilwell, OK, and Brianna Valdez Stilwell, OK, 4 grandchildren; Brooklyn, Brysin, Brilynn and Briah Cheromiah, all of Stilwell, OK; 2 sisters, Marilyn Perez of Stilwell, OK, Cherokee Livers and husband Burl of Stilwell, OK, 4 Bothers; Gene Riddle and wife Caleen of Bunch, OK, Richard Canoe and wife Doris, of Stilwell, OK, Felix Duncan Jr., of Bunch, OK, and Vernon Duncan of Bunch, OK, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and ,many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 20, 2012 at New Life Church with Bro. Gary Leach and Bro. Leo Duncan officiating. Interment followed at Salem Cemetery.
