Nathaniel Ray Hummingbird the son of Gus and Iva Mae ( Coombes) Hummingbird was born February 13, 1941 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on August 2, 2019 in Colcord, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 20 days.

Nathaniel was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with all of them. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles, gardening and fishing. He loved animals, especially his dogs.   Nathaniel touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Linda Hummingbird; his son Derek Hummingbird; as well as his brothers Raymond Hummingbird and Stanley Hummingbird and his sisters Olline Pruitt and Pauline Chuculate.
 

He is survived by a loving family which includes his sons Damon Hummingbird and wife Kathy of Gentry, AR, Darren Hummingbird of Colcord, Drew Hummingbird and wife Tammy of Colcord, Dion Hummingbird of Colcord and Dustin Lee Hummingbird of Colcord; his brother Ellis Hummingbird of Wichita, KS; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
 

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2019 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Brian Kester officiating.

Interment will follow at Reese Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
