Michael Wayne Anderson, the son Frederick James Anderson and Alta Susan (Coombes) Anderson, was born March 19, 1944, in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He departed this life March 22, 2014, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the age of 70 years and 3 days.
Wayne was married to Linda Peck on September 25, 1967, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and this union was blessed with three children. Debbie, Louis and Paula. Wayne was a truck driver, working for Cargill Industries and Tyson Foods for 44 years.
Wayne enjoyed spending time on the lake and fishing with his kids and grandkids. Other hobbies included coon hunting, deer hunting, playing guitar, drawing, watching NASCAR races with his son, Louis, as well as being an avid reader. Wayne was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Alta Anderson, brothers, William Whitmire, Ted Anderson, Tom Anderson and sisters, Dolores Smith, Rosalie Ketcher and Mary Jane Tidwell.
He leaves behind, his wife, Linda Anderson, of the home; children, Debbie Hart and husband, Roger, of Peavine, Louis Anderson, of Baron, Paula Gross and husband, Rick, of Springdale, AR; sister, Suzy Doyle and husband, Gary, of Baron; brothers, Freddie Anderson, of Peavine, John Anderson and wife, Mary, of Summers, AR; grandchildren, Stephanie and Christina Gross, Dustin and Cody Hart, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Rev. Elvin Still officiating. Interment will follow at Reese Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
