Henry Clay Vaughn
March 6, 1926 - August 20, 2006

Henry Clay Vaughn was born March 6, 1926 in Stilwell, OK., to Claude and Dora (Gilcress) Vaughn.
He went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2006 at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 14 days.

He was married to Thelma (Jackson) Vaughn on August 18, 1947. They were married for 59 years.
Henry served in the Navy from April 15, 1944 to May 25, 1946. During this time he served in World War II. He worked in the lead and Zinc Mines from 1949 to 1957 in Picher, OK. They returned to Christie, OK., where he operated a sawmill and farmed until his healt no longer allowed him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, four infant children and on daughter, Karen Vaughn.

Henry is survived by his wife, Thelma Vaughn, of the home; two sons, Jim Neugin and wife, Debbie, of Stilwell OK., Roger Vaughn and wife, Mary, of Christie, OK; one daughter, Janice Maggard and husband, Winford, of Westville, OK., 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Two sisters, Pearly Young and Effie Jean Hubbard, of Westville, OK., several nieces, nephews and many loved ones also survive him.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at Hart Memorial Chapel in Westville, OK., with Bro. Bill Matthews officiating.
Interment will follow at Proctor Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
