Buddie Rutledge, son of Elijah Bud and Eveline (Taylor) Rutledge, was born March 4, 1943 in Erick, Oklahoma and departed this life on August 15, 2019 in Colcord, Oklahoma surrounded by loved ones at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 11 days.

Buddie was in the automotive industry most of his life and for the last 15 years was a local mechanic at his home garage in Westville. He was known around town as the man who could fix anything on a vehicle. He enjoyed reading western books, watching golf, Indy car races, fishing and visiting with his boys and grandchildren. He was a goodhearted man who will be remembered for his kindness and fair treatment of others.

Buddie was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Troy, Nellie, Frank and Bill Rutledge and grandchildren;Veronica Rutledge and Todd Rutledge.


He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife; Darlene of the home, sons; Dennis Rutledge and wife Susie, Joseph Rutledge, daughters; Twila Maloney and husband Bryan, Lisa Chrisner and husband Thomas, 12 grandkids and 6 great- randkids. Siblings; Dixie Harlin and Roy Rutledge, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
 

Funeral services were held, Monday, August 19, 2019 in the Tabernacle of Praise Church with Bro. Carney Duncan officiating.
