J. L. (Nick) Luper
October 24, 1928 - June 27, 2006
J. L. (Nick) Luper was born October 24, 1928 in Tahlequah, OK., to Joe and Minnie Mae (Lamont) Luper, and departed this life June 27, 2006 in Stilwell, OK., at the age of 77 years, 8 months, and 2 days.
J. L. proudly served in the Army during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dean Pilcher, and one sister, Ruth Heustis.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Jean Luper of the home in Westville, OK.; one son, Gary Lynn Luper and wife Rebecca of Tucon, Arizona; one daughter: Lori Kathleen Gorospe and husband Beltecezer of Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington; 5 grandchildren; two sisters: Faye Sellers of Tahlequah, OK., and Joe Ellen Luper of Wichita, KS, and Bill and Red Pilcher both of Westville OK.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 3, 2006 at the Proctor Community Church with Bro. Ronnie Bradshaw officiating.
Internment followed in the Proctor Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
