J.B. Heustis Sr
July 26, 1941 - October 7, 2012
Funeral services for J.B. Heustis Sr. will be held Friday October 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Proctor Community Church with Bro. Darrell Lacie officiating. Interment will follow in the Proctor Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
J.B. Heustis the son of Louie Ray and Edith Geneva (Vaughan) Heustis was born July 26, 1941 in Stilwell, OK and departed this life on October 7, 2012 in Ulysses, Kansas at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 10 days.
J.B. served proudly in United States Army from November 5, 1963 until November 4, 1965. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, noodleing catfish, frog gigging and mowing yards. J.B. loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. J.B. touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Ruthie Mae Heustis; and sisters Bonnie Lou Buso and Viola Heustis.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his children Geneva Wing and husband Donnie of Ulysses, KS and J.B. Heustis Jr. and wife Linda of Westville; brothers Billy Willis Heustis and wife Georgia of Westville, Darrell Wayne Heustis and wife Nancy of Austin, TX, and George Ray Heustis; sisters Rosie Lorene Perkins and husband Larry of Westville and Betty Ann Visquesney and husband Michael of Raytown, MO; a brother-in-law Paul Buso of Sedalia, MO; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
