Marvin Wayne Thomas was born to James and Sylvia (Kelly) Thomas on June 30, 1930 in Ozark, Arkansas. He passed from this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 21 days.
He was a good father that supported his family as a field foreman in the oil field industry. Marvin loved to garden and grew great tomatoes every year. He also liked to fish and spend time in the outdoors.
Marvin loved visiting with his kids and grandkids.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents: James and Sylvia Thomas, daughter: Anita Gail Thomas, grandson: Adam Ray Moreland, brothers: Luke, Willie, Otis, Ray, Ube, Lewis and Paul Thomas, sisters: Lucinda Thomas and Oma Munger.
He is survived by his companion: Hester of the home in Stilwell, children: Bonnie Dickinson of Nowata, OK, Diana Moreland and husband Harvey of Natural Dam, AR, Jimmie Thomas and wife Georgetta of Tahlequah, OK, Timmie Thomas and wife Cindy of Ocala, FL, 24 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, sister: Josephine Coppage of Phoenix, AZ, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services at 1 pm on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Piney Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Donna Thomas officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
