Edith Eversole Adair, daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Edna Guinn Eversole was born June 5, 1919 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on November 18, 2010 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 5 months and 13 days. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family which she cherished deeply. She was a faithful member of The Lighthouse Church in Stilwell. She owned and operated the Chalk Bluff Grocery for many years. She also enjoyed cooking and going to ballgames to watch her grandchildren play. Edith was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Edna Eversole, her husband Edward B. Adair, and siblings Cletus Eversole, Sam Eversole, Jimmy D. Eversole and Louise Mikkelson. She is survived by a very loving family that includes her daughter Nadine Barton and husband Aaron of Stilwell, Ok, 3 grandchildren Cindy Guthrie and husband Jim of Westville, Ok, Tim Barton and wife Gina of Stilwell, Ok, Steven Barton and wife Stephanie of Muskogee, Ok, 10 great grandchildren Amie Guffey and companion Kevin Doyle, Amanda Guffey, Julie Guffey, Jami Guthrie, Bret Barton, Jacob Barton, Matthew Barton, Ethan Barton, Evan Barton and Caroline Barton, 9 great great grandchildren Fulton Rutland, Katie Doyle, Jordan Wiggins, Jonathan McLeroy, Hunter McLeroy, Addison Guffey, Ashlynn Berry, Kelsey Berry and Emiliee Woodward. 1 sister Goldie Joslin of Stockton, CA, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends also survive her. Funeral services were held, Monday, November 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Roberts Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Rev. Greg Hatchett officiating. Interment followed in the Piney Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
