William "Bill" Pack
July 20, 1918-March 14, 2008
William "Bill" Pack the son of Sol and Nellie (Butler) Pack was born July 20, 1918 in Barber, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 14, 2008 in Canehill, Arkansas at the age of 89 years, 7 months, and 25 days.
Bill spent his entire life living in Adair and Cherokee Counties as a farmer. He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends, reminiscing of the days he spent growing up. He was known as a avid coon hunter and fisherman.
He really loved country music and enjoyed dancing. He was known to many people in the area as an honest man and a man of his word. There are not enough words to describe the generosity and the love that Bill had in his heart for his family and friends.
Bill married the love of his life, Mary Emmaline Davis on September 6, 1941 and to this union 13 children were born. Bill and Mary were married for 56 years until her death on June 7, 1997.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Mary, 2 daughters; Myrtle Monholland and Teresa Pack, 1 son; Danny Ray Pack, 3 sisters; Sally Harveston, Martha Kimble and Fannie Pack, 2 brothers; Claude "Clebe" Pack and Ben Pack.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes; Watie Pack and wife Laverne of Stilwell, OK, Betty Brown and husband Claudie of Sallisaw, OK., Jess Pack of Stilwell, OK., Oleta Stayathome and husband John of Tahlequah, OK., Judy Chuculate of Baron, OK., Terry Pack and wife Letha of Westville, OK., Jerry Pack of West Siloam Springs, OK., Billy Joe Pack and wife Bobbie of Stilwell, OK., Kathryn Waring and husband Michael of Canehill, AR., and Barbara Luhes of Tahlequah, OK., 1 sister; Ruby Burton of Stilwell, OK., and 2 brothers; Jim Pack of Tahlequah, OK and Haskell "Coon" Pack of Jetmore, Ks., 36 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends also survive him.
Graveside services were Monday, March 17, 2008 in the Pilgrim Rest Cemetery with Larry Eubanks officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
