Josephine B. Whitmire-Chaney
January 20, 1913 - November 25, 2006
Funeral services for Josephine B. Whitmire-Chaney will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Old Green Baptist Church in Westville, OK., with Reverend Mark Shell and Reverend Jess French officiating.
Interment will follow in Old Green Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.

Josephines's grandsons served as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. Her granddaughters served as flowers girls.
Jospehine Beatrice Whitmire-Chaney was born in Baron, OK., on Jnuary 20, 1913, the daughter of Jim Thornton and Polly Watt.
She passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2006 after reaching the age of 93.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chester Whitmire and Ross Chaney, five brothers; Rogers, Nick, Wylie, James Major and Johnson and five sisters, Vena Sawyer, Ceil Brogdon, Edna Watt, Susie Palone, and Nellie Hummingbird and two great granddaughters, Sage Nicole and Kaitlyn Josephine Worthington.
Those left to cherish her memory includes her seven children; Wynona and Kenneth Hogner, Polly Dacy and Jim Hoover, Rebecca Worthington, Ellouise Whitmire, Euphamia and Jay Thompson, Agnes Chaney and Greg Meadows, Chester and Marilyn Whitmire and Nowata, seven grandsons, five granddaughters, four great grandsons, and seven great granddaughters, niece Ruby Culbertson and many nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
