Richard Merlen Alverson
May 7, 1941 - September 9, 2006
Richard Merlen Alverson was born May 7, 1941 in Van Buren, Arkansas, to Thomas and Nora (Walker) Alverson, and departed this life September 9, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 2 days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ronnie Alverson, two brothers, Cecil and Troy Alverson and one sister, Autrey Payne.
Richard is survived by sons: Richard Dean Alverson, and Randy Alverson, two daughters: Regena Pennington and Lisa Murray, five sisters: Mary McGarrah, Edna Larman, Hazel Duncan, Barbara Bell, and Peggy Foster, three brothers: M.D. Alverson, Willis Walker and Thomas Alverson. 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday September 13, 2006 at the Oak Grove Cemetery, with Bro. Thomas Alverson officiating.
Internment was at Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
