Her journey began on July 10, 1926 at Stigler, when she was born to Day Cox and Gladys Johnson Cox. Daisy went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 1, 2018 at the age of 92 years, 3 months and 22 days.

Her journey for the Lord began when she was 12 years old and was saved and baptized at Bunch. Daisy served the Lord faithfully for 80 years. She served in many different areas of the church. She was an active member of Victory Southern Baptist Church until her illness two years ago.

Daisy graduated from Stilwell High School in 1946.

She had many jobs throughout her life. She began as a waitress while in high school. After graduation she moved to Muskogee and lived with her aunt and uncle while working at a five and dime store. While home one weekend, she met the love of her life, Bert C. (BC) Neff and they married March 19, 1949 and to this couple six children were born: Judy, Dennis, Charlie, Roger, Vickie and Candy. During their married life, they ran a dairy for many years. They lived their entire life in the Ewing Chapel Community. In Daisy’s later life, she worked as a cook for Stilwell Schools, a foster granny, and then in the Stilwell Grade School Library.

Daisy loved spending time with her family. Her favorite times were the holidays when she could make everyone’s favorite dishes. She was a self- taught and accomplished seamstress, crafter, quilt maker, and of course, cook.

Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Bert C. (BC) Neff in 1976, her parents Day Cox and Gladys Johnson Quarter, two sons-in-law, Jim Girdner and Gregory Hardbarger, her sisters; Georgia Miller Cox, Vadia Ross, her brothers; Sam, Jimmy MacArthur, Henry and Charles.

Daisy is survived by a very loving family which includes her children: Judy Cavin and husband James of Stilwell, Dennis Neff and Shawna of Sallisaw, Charles Neff and wife Robin of Stilwell, Roger Neff and wife Pam of Jones, Vickie Hardbarger of Stilwell, Candy West and husband Kelly of Muskogee. Daisy was blessed with 15 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews that she loved as her own, her sister-in-law Novella Neff of Perry along with many friends and other family members.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Roberts/Reed- Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK with Pastor Steve Mowery officiating.

Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery, Stilwell, OK
